Home Screen of CareGiverInfo

Although CareGiverInfo is a significantly enhanced version of OurMedDB its home screen has been greatly simplified. The Login, Change PSWD and Forgot PSWD controls are available for password management while Help provides access to several subjects designed to assist the user.

We encourage that the user employ a password but if not then "passwordnotused" is automatically entered in the field to expedite quick access to all personal information.

Demo of Medical Data Storage provides all the details on how information is stored in OurMedDB. It has the John Doe family information organized exactly the way your real data will be organized.

Access Personal Data is used after the password is entered to display all the people who have been entered into the system.

Emergency Contacts and Lock Screen enable the entry of special contacts in priority order and can display them to emergency personnel even if the phone is in Lock Mode.

The Helpful Screens icon provides access to several "Help" screens providing operating information to the user.

The yellow area is used to give instructions and feedback to the user.

Assigning a password in the OurMedDB system

This screen is displayed if the user wishes to change the password or if the password was forgotten. If a change is desired after the correct password was entered then the security answer is display. If the password was forgotten then the user has to enter the proper security answer.

When any entry field is selected the keyboard is automatically displayed. For a field other than passwords the user can activate the microphone on the keyboard and say the data to be entered. When the Done control is used the SIRI interpretation is displayed and the user can make any correction required before entering the next field or activating the Save and Login control.

For security reasons passwords entered are not displayed.

If the proper data was entered then the Save and Login control displays the people who have been entered into the system.

Listings in CareGiverInfo and OurMedDB

In addition to the name the owner of the device and the date of birth of the person is indicated.

People are listed in alphabetical order.

The New control enables the addition of new people.

The right arrow ">" enables the viewing, deletion and updating of a person's data and provides access to conditions, treatments, medications, allergies, immunizations, tests and test results previously stored for that person.

Adding a Person to the CareGiverInfo system

This is one of the key screens of this App because it is designed to enable audio communication with the user to automate and speed up the entry of a new person into the system. The automated data entry is as follows:

  1. The user activates the "Start Voice Entry" control.

  2. The system speaks to the user to enter the name of the

      new person and what it says is also displayed in the yellow


  3. The white field turns red and indicates "Please wait".

  4. This field turns green and indicates "Please answer now".

  5. The user says the name and then says "DONE".

  6. The system speaks to the user to enter the blood type of

       the new person and what it says is also displayed in the

       yellow field.

  7. The white field turns red and indicates "Please wait".

  8. This field turns green and indicates "Please answer now".

  9. The user says the blood type and then says "DONE".

  10. This sequence is repeated until the last field is completed.

  11. The user verifies each field entered, corrects anything that

       needs correction and then activates the "Save" control to

       store the new information.

  12. To bypass entry to a field the user can just say "DONE" as

       a reply, or use the "End Voice Entry" control.

Adding a person to the OurMedDB system

The Name, DOB, SSN, Insurance and Blood Type should be entered in the usual formats. If the person being entered is the owner of the device then the Owner control should be turned to ON. If the owner is an emergency contact for the person being added then the passcode and the password for that person should be entered before Saving.

If the device owner Accepted an AirDrop operation from another iPhone then the Import control should be used to store the data received from the other iPhone. The Save control should not be used for this action. If the person being imported is already in the system then the user will be asked if the imported data should be used to overwrite the existing data.

The Yellow area indicates the results of various operations.

Accessing and Sharing information about a person in CareGiverInfo and OurMedDB

The five colorful controls all lead to lists of information that had been entered for the selected person. The lists for Conditions and Treatments, for Tests and Immunizations and for Allergies are automatically sorted in chronological order with the latest event at the top. Medications and Physicians are listed in alphabetical order.

Using the "New" and ">" controls from each list the user can add, update and delete any of the entries for the five different items.

With the Modify Personal Information control the user can view and update all the parameters previously assigned to a person. The user can also delete the person from the system. Deletion requires confirmation by the user.

The "Share" control initiates the copying of the personal and medical information of the selected individual to another device having CareGiverInfo or OurMedDB within the same WIFI area.

Listing of conditions and treatments in CareGiverInfo and OurMedDB

The list is automatically sorted to show the latest event at the top.

The "New" and ">" controls enable the addition, updating and deletion of individual conditions and treatments.

Similar lists are used to display Medications, Allergies, Tests and Immunizations and the Physicians for the selected person. The user can update or delete any of the individual parameters listed.

History of test results in CareGiverInfo and OurMedDB

Results of tests are handled in a special manner in order to provide the capability of maintaining a history of test results. For any specific test such as an MRI, an Xray or blood analysis the Apps can maintain in chronological order all the test results. The user is given full control of such history being able to add, modify or delete any entry.

Listing of Emergency Contacts in both OurMedDB and OurMedEMS

The names and telephone numbers are listed in priority order.

The "New" and ">" controls enable the addition, updating and deletion of individual contacts.

The contacts listed can be shown as the wallpaper screen on the Lock screen of the phone.

Lock Screen Wallpaper in both OurMedDB and OurMedEMS

This screen can be displayed even without entry of the device passcode.

This enables EMS personnel to call designated emergency contacts listed in priority order. If OurMedDB is installed then they can obtain the owner's passcode and password and thus gain access to important medical information in the event that the owner of the device is incapacitated. If OurMedEMS is installed then they have to get the medical information of the device owner from the emergency contact.

In OurMedDB one can display up to 3 emergency contacts while in OurMedEMS one can display up to 5 emergency contacts
